Texpress Query Language (Texql) Guide The Texql Guide describes the query language interface to Texpress. This query language, called Texql, includes both query and data manipulation facilities. While modelled on the industry standard SQL definition, it contains language extensions compatible with the object-oriented features of  Texpress. This results in a distinctive SQL "feel" to the interface, significantly reducing the learning time for experienced SQL programmers. Texql is still able to harness the power of the object-oriented model.

Texpress Design Guide This manual describes the Texpress database design facilities. The principal program is referred to as Admin and it provides access to all of the database design tools. Only the database administrator is permitted to use the design tools although other users can be granted access to certain programs from the Administrator menu. The major operations performed are those of data definition, database configuration and initialization and the allocation of database access privileges. Numerous other operations are available but these are peripheral to the operation of the database and are provided only to present a more friendly working environment.

Also some of the programs invoked from the shell may be used only by the database administrator.
