EMu has been chosen by Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain as its collection management system because of its ability to be adapted to our logistical requirements. EMu is a tool that will allow us to trace the movements of each work of art as well as gathering and storing all technical information together in a database which is integrated and user-friendly.

Bristol's City Museum & Art GalleryThe 7th European EMu User Group Meeting was hosted by Bristol Museums Galleries and Archives (BMGA) on 3-4 June 2009, in Bristol, UK.

Fortunately (if a little unusually some might say), the meeting took place during a week of sunny weather in England and the meeting venue – The Pavilion – proved a hit with its balcony overlooking Bristol’s river. More than 45 EMu users took the opportunity to share their experience and expertise, some coming from as far afield as the US and Qatar.

EMu 4.0.01 has been released

EMu 4.0.01 has just been released. This latest version of EMu is packed with new features and functionality, including a new Statistics module that allows statistical information to be gathered and stored at regular intervals; record recall functionality that allows a record to be restored to a previous version;  a record templates tool that allows an existing record to be used as the basis for producing one or more new records; and much more.
