	Implementation of KE EMu in the Fish Group at the Natural History Museum has had a dramatic effect. It has empowered our curators to enhance the Fish Collection in ways not possible before and enabled them to grow in their jobs and become more professional as collection managers.

The Natural History Museum (NHM) was delighted that the KE EMu implementation was delivered on time and under budget and is probably the first science project to achieve this. The existence of a single database covering all specimens - zoological, entomological, palaeontological, botanical and mineralogical - has been a major factor in improving efficiency and optimising consistent business processes across the Museum.

The Manchester Museum installed KE EMu four years ago. Since then the management of our collections has improved considerably. We now have a consistent system in use throughout the Museum that allows users to query the data for research, learning and enjoyment. The addition of community-based Narratives has reconnected the Museum and its collections to source communities and users around the world.

	EMu has been chosen by Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain as its collection management system because of its ability to be adapted to our logistical requirements. EMu is a tool that will allow us to trace the movements of each work of art as well as gathering and storing all technical information together in a database which is integrated and user-friendly.
